My name is Amy Davis. I was born in Bridgend, South Wales. I Moved to Leicester after my A levels, where I studied at De Montfort University for 4 years, firstly doing a Foundation in Art and design in 2007 and then getting an unconditional offer to go straight into studying my degree – Animation Design until June 2011. Learning all aspects of the Animation process I know have a great knowledge of the entire animation process. After Graduating from De Montfort University, I was quickly snapped up by RJDM Studios in Northampton who asked me to be their Assistant Producer and Junior Animator working on a project for Disney/ Pixar’s Xbox 360 kinect game ‘Disneyland Adventures’ where I was involved in the management team, overseeing animations from over 14 Senior Animators and was able to animate a shot myself in the game to Senior level standards, putting in all the extra hours required to get the job done.
After that project was over, the company kept me on working on many other project including the manu app for iphone. This was rated 3rd best kid’s app and I was lucky enough to animate 5 out of the 15 animations.
I then moved into freelancing and came back into RJDM Studios working as a digital artist/ Animator.
I Currently work at Cubic Motion, who specialise in computer vision and facial Animation. I have had a great opportunity here working on AAA games e.g Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, Middle earth: Shadow of Mordor, Wolfenstein: The New order, The Amazing Spiderman 2.
In my personal time I enjoy drawing, painting, face painting, socialising with friends, playing sports – Hockey and Karate are my top two but I enjoy all sports. Keeping fit.
I am current WUKF European Champion and WUKF European Champions Cup Champion. I represent Karate Wales and fight internationally for them.
Thank you very much for visiting my website and checking out my portfolio. I look forward to hearing from you.
